Wilbraham (Ma.) Wilbraham and Monson Academy 2026 forward Sam Fleming told me that West Virginia has been watching him since the start of the summer and he spoke with assistant Kory Barnett who let him know about the offer. He plans to speak with head coach Darian DeVries today. Barnett told him that they play an open system where he can play freely and while he is still finding things out about the program he is interested in learning more. The coaching staff likes his ability to pass and rebound as well as his high IQ on the floor. He has yet to visit anywhere yet, but is planning on taking quite a bit in the coming year including to West Virginia. He wants to eventually find a school where there is a family oriented environment and a great culture where he will be taken care of on and off the court. He also told me that Barnett told him that West Virginia offers those things as well.
