Special Men’s Basketball Dates Announced

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (December 1, 2015) – The WVU-Oklahoma game on Saturday, Feb. 20, is a Gold Rush, presented by Shoney’s. All fans attending the game are encouraged to wear gold for the game against the nationally-ranked Sooners.



All fans attending the WVU-Baylor game on Saturday, Feb. 6 are encouraged to take part in the ‘Stripe the Coliseum’ event. Fans are asked to wear either gold or blue depending on which section their seats are located. A detailed map of the color layout can be found here: www.wvusports.com/stripethecoliseum.



The Mountaineers’ home game on Monday, Feb. 22 against Iowa State is a True Blue contest. All fans attending the game are encouraged to wear blue for the game against the Cyclones that will be on ESPN’s Big Monday.



Several special halftime features highlight the conference schedule. Josh Horton, a world-class juggler, will perform at halftime of the Kansas game on Jan. 12. The famous Red Panda makes a return to the Coliseum on Saturday, Feb. 20 during halftime of the Oklahoma game, while the Famous Flying Dogs will perform at halftime of the Iowa State game on Monday, Feb. 22.



The annual toy drive will take place during the Kennesaw State (Dec. 5) and UL Monroe (Dec. 13) games for WVU Shop. Fans who bring a new, unwrapped toy will receive a voucher for free admission to a future WVU women’s basketball game.



Ugly holiday sweater night will be held at WVU’s game vs. Eastern Kentucky on Monday, Dec. 21. Also on that night, fans can bring a non-perishable food item and receive a voucher for free admission to a future women’s basketball game.
