Special Men’s Basketball Dates Announced
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (November 29, 2016) – The WVU-Kansas game on Tuesday, Jan. 24, is a Gold Rush, presented by H&R Block. All fans attending the game are encouraged to wear gold for the game against the nationally-ranked Jayhawks.
All fans attending the WVU-Texas A&M game on Saturday, Jan. 28 are encouraged to take part in the ‘Stripe the Coliseum’ event. Fans are asked to wear either gold or blue depending on which section their seats are located. A detailed map of the color layout can be found here:www.wvusports.com/stripethecoliseum.
The Mountaineers’ home game on Friday, March 3, against Iowa State is a True Blue contest, presented by Advanced Heating & Cooling. All fans attending the game are encouraged to wear blue for the game against the Cyclones on Senior Night.
Several special halftime features highlight the conference schedule. The famous acrobat Red Panda returns to the Coliseum for the Kansas game on Tuesday, Jan. 24. Also returning to the Coliseum this season will be the magical act ‘Quick Change’ for the Texas A&M game (Jan. 28). Tony Hoard and his K9 Crew Frisbee dog team will fly through the air at halftime of the Oklahoma State game on Feb. 4. Guitar artist Kevin Olsen will make his first Coliseum appearance on Feb. 11 for the K-State game. Finally, Christian & Scooby will perform at halftime of Senior Night for the Iowa State game on March 3.
The annual toy drive will take place during the VMI (Dec. 10) game for the WVU Shop/Toy Mountain program. Fans who bring a new, unwrapped toy will receive a voucher for free admission to a future WVU women’s basketball game.
Ugly holiday sweater night will be held at WVU’s game vs. UMKC on Saturday, Dec. 17.
Tickets will be just $10 for the Northern Kentucky game on Friday, Dec. 23, courtesy of United Bank.
Two Big 12 Conference games have been slated as Family Days – TCU on Jan. 7 and Texas Tech on Feb. 18. Get four tickets and a $25 concession voucher for $70 per family package to those games.
