Some thoughts.

I never thought this was a great team even after last week. I think this is the typical WVU team. Strong in spots. Average and weak in others. QB play is average but good at times. RBs are good as usual. WRs are young but have talent. The OL played better than I expected. They got a nice push on run plays most of the time. Pass blocking was solid at times while weak in key situations. DL is solid. LBers are strong. Typical WVU secondary. WVU has always been weak to average most years in the secondary regardless of coach. The conference looks brutal. The next three opponents all look good. Kansas ST still looks like they generally do. A lot of tough games on the road. 6-6 or 7-5.

I expected better than 7 sacks.

This is the same WVU team that went 3-0, but against Georgia Southern, Liberty and Maryland. Oklahoma would beat all 3 combined on the same day in the same game.

The question now is: Will WVU swandive the way Geno's team did, from 5-0 to 7-6, or recover and finish in the top half of the Big 12? We'll see what they're really made off.

At least the "best team in 20 years" nonsense is by the boards.

Now we need to avoid the "worst team in 20 years" nonsense.
