--The Big 12 again helped out West Virginia over winter break by giving the Mountaineers back-to-back conference games on the road in Texas. The Mountaineers will play At Texas Jan. 1 and then turnaround and play at TCU Jan. 3 allowing the players to knock out two of those trips over break and not cause a lot of disruptions.
--Technically, they could pull the same with the trip to Arkansas Jan. 29 and then a trip to Baylor Jan. 31 and the trip to Oklahoma State Feb. 12 and then following that up with a trip to Kansas State Feb. 14. That is good to allow at least five of the non-conference road games to get out of the way without making back and forth trips.
--West Virginia will play five of the nine conference games at home on a Saturday. That should make for a very lively environment. One of those five is the game against Kansas Feb. 19. That should be an incredible environment. The others are Jan. 8 Kansas State, Feb. 5 Texas Tech, Feb. 26 Texas and March 5 TCU.
--The fact the Pitt game will be on a Friday night is a good thing for all.
