4-1 in November and December this year. Not bad at all. A clear improvement even by the standards of the less rational members of WVU's fan base.

To the above mentioned members, as my Grandma used to say , "Buck up and stop your whinin'!"

fact is, these less rational fans got spoiled during the Rodriguez years expecting 11 win seasons. They clearly do not understand the difference in level of competition between the big east and big 12

I totally understand the difference between the BE and B12 as I have been a fan of the B8/12 for 40 years and also see a coach who chokes every time the pressure is on him. That was a KSU team that should have finished 4-8 and got to 6-6 because of two absolutely horrid coaching jobs but Paul Rhodes and Dana Holgorsen. ISU fired Rhodes, we will see what happens at WVU.

oklahoma state, TCU, and Baylor disagree with your assessment. They could only beat that KState team by 7 points or less. They could've finished 9-3. I guess Dana dropped all those passes to. I guess Dana should've tackled Morgan burns. Dana should not have missed that field goal either.

I always appreciate that response. It's just funny that it didn't apply to the prior staff. Stew didn't fumble at the goal line against UC either but he was responsible for it. I'm okay with giving DH another year. I like the fact that we have gone back to a more physical brand of football. And the defense has been great. But there are areas he must improve or be held accountable for. Two of those area are special teams and offensive play calling. Those made the difference between 7-5 and 9-3.

Interesting that you didn't mention the horrid 4th & 1 with Howard and his bad wheel being given the ball as well as having him run the ball near the goal line. And while we're at it, talking about all those dropped passes, why was a true freshman in there in the first place when DH had plenty of experienced WR's at his disposal? Which leads to why was a freshman back there fielding punts because not much good can come of that.
Ask any experienced coach who knows what they're doing and way more likely they're not going to put someone back there like that to field kicks.
Heck, watching the Jets game today I saw their TE catch a punt and he wasn't a rookie. That's what you do to give your team the best odds at winning and decrease the odds that someone inexperienced will cost you the game.
This is DH's biggest problem in that he is a fly by the seat of his pants gambler far too often without a lot of thought into it then at the press conf. will tell us how he shouldn't have done "that." Which he just did again last night after the game. He needs to stop gambling and do his freakin job. We were running it down their throats all game long but he insisted on passing and running with a bad hand and bad foot QB.

i am sorry, i thought he was the HC, but as you must be, why did you call the QB around the end??????????????????
