I don't think that MVU thought about the possible outcomes when they donned chicken suits and ran their mouths like grade schoolers. Evidently they saw wisdom in their juvenile actions. Lord knows, nobody else did.
Then when the series was announced, the most vocal and prominent of them (Pruett) ran for the hills so he wouldn't have to face the music.
I don't blame you for wanting a home and home series verses another senseless beat down at the hands of the Mounties in Morgantown. At least with Pitt and UL you have a small chance to pull out a win against a weak ACC team. Boise will beat you like a left handed red headed step child.
UL is 3-10 verses WVU
Pitt is 9-16-1 verses WVU since 1988
WVU has never played Boise State
MVU is 0-12 verses WVU
If you want to look at last year, here are the Sagarin ratings for each team since they did not play each other:
WVU 27
UL 34
BS 38
Pitt 40
MVU 66
Stick with your stupid back to back to back, grammar or message board handle smack because as weak as that is it is better than your uninformed opinion. Now if you were to say that like WVU all three programs are better than MVU, you would be much more accurate. By the way most computers have MVU in the sixties and WVU in the low thirties. Pitt owns the all time series record over WVU, that makes them better. That is your basis for your 0-12 argument correct?
UofL is preseason ranked higher, that would make them better than you correct?

You need to make up your mind. A few posts ago you were saying it was ridiculous for us to go clear back to the 1800's for the 0-12 overall record against Marshall. Now, you're saying it's ridiculous for us NOT to go back that far for the overall record against Pitt. Make up your mind.
Then ... we have the overall record against UofL, but you say they are better than us since they have a higher preseason ranking ... but you don't use the preseason ranking in comparing us to Pitt.

Doesn't matter that much ... whether you use the overall series, or just the last 20 years, you still come up short in the head-to-head record with us. Also, we are ranked higher in the preseason ranking too.
So, by any measure you want to use to compare us to anybody else, we are better than you.
I actually cheered for Marshall until 2008 AND enjoyed playing them. I saw it as a friendly matchup. Their fan base, which quickly spread to their athletic department, changed all of that. I am not quite sure what happened. I really see no reason to play them.
We only have 12 games a year to schedule. And, by Herd logic, we are afraid of over 100 teams every season because we don't play them.
U of L is going to beat them senseless. Pitt is a dead program, so it will be a snorefest.
I love playing different teams every season. The old days of playing The Big East , Marshall, and ECU every season was a brain freeze. I even liked playing an up and coming program like GSU. Their fans were douches, but I liked the challenge they presented with a unique offense. Playing Marshall every year was boring. We gave them more games than they deserved already.
Seriously, what have they done to deserve another game instead of the teams we have already scheduled or played (Alabama, Missou, BYU, VT, or Penn State)?

No that is your game. Historically Pitt has had a better program than us. WVU's program has been much better than Pitt's over the last 30 years. So should I just included the last 20 years for Marshall? You do realize MVU is winless agianst us. Nice job leaving out Sagarin ratings which totally destroyed your original post. Of course the recent records also accomplish that task.
