To be fair, the officiating has been awful this year in the conference. I think it’s a byproduct of expansion. They had to add to the pool of officials with more games to cover and by doing so, likely had to dip down to get to the numbers they needed. If he thinks the officiating would be better at this point in a lesser conference, good luck.

Edit: it is a bad look for him. People in those positions need to be above acting like a petulant kid

They gave up 70 yards in the final minute after a questionable call to give up the winning FG and the fans are pissed off and spouting off. Sound familiar?

The AD is supporting his program and school but said somethings that in my view were very inappropriate and I hope he gets fined. But this reaction after a tough loss in a season that isn't going the way they had hoped isn't unique to them. It is disgraceful. Hopefully some can see another program acting like fools and rectify their behavior in public forums. I won't hold my breath.

Outside of Oregon, it appears the old Pac12 was weak.

Utah must really suck if they can't compete in the worst Big 12 ever. I don't even know if the Big 12 champion this year will belong in the top 25. It's a stretch. This conference is a joke but Utah may as well leave after these comments. They don't belong at all.

It's not that they lost, its who they lost to. If Utah would have lost that way to UC, TTU, WVU, etc he never would have thrown the fit he did. That rivalry equals our own against Spitt.

Will be spending Thanksgiving in SLC on the edge of the campus as we go there at least once a year. I'm a big fan of the university and they are a great addition to the Big 12 as are the other 3 former Pac 12 schools.

Yes, that loss was painful to them in that rivalry. I won't give the AD a pass for his comments about the refs. The timeout call was a correct call. The PI was a close call and it wasn't a bad call. Regardless, stop the freaking offense in the last minute and you win the game. Don't blame the refs.

If you gave up all those yards, even if there was a bad call, that happens. Did you play prevent defense? That's a game loser right there.

I will agree Big 12 officiating is really bad. They are bad at about everything . Look how they waved off the helmet to helmet hit on our player. And the push to get the interception.
You do play against the opponent and officials in this conference. Still, execution of plays will still win the majority of the plays.
And "it was unfair'? Yeah, maybe so. That's life and playing teams like PSU,N.D. OSU and a few chosen teams. It's going to happen. Wait until basketball gets in full swing. You may want to have a microphone in you hand the entire game.

I live in metro Atlanta after growing up in WV. 4 of my 5 kids live out west. Thanksgiving at second oldest in SLC. So no, but would love to sometime. Beautiful campuses.
