Shciano also got 25 million guaranteed. Talk about an AD being stupid.

That's like a one-legged cat trying to bury turd’s on a frozen pond out there.

Dang, that is a lot of money for last place in the Big! Maybe next to last.

Rutgers is a genteel lady who made a wrong turn onto a Big 10 street of hooligans. Such a mistaken move. I've never met anyone from Rutgers who was not a successful, classy, quality person. But that doesn't transfer well into Big 10 football. WVU is FAR better off in the Big 12 than Rutgers is in the Big 10. Hell, Pitt is better off in the ACC, and the Panthers aren't exactly mowing down the competition. Pitt is eating a bit of shit, to bring up the chant I hear at EVERY Mountaineer Field game. Schiano did a great job for Rutgers in the Big East. But Rutgers is not in the Big East any more. He will have a fat bank account but he's going to earn every penny. WVU should have Rutgers come to Morgantown for a gimme game on its W-L record.

Why? We took Marshall of the schedule for gimme games that meant nothing

At this time I think ticket sales are part of the formula. Like it or not, Schiano is a popular figure at North Jersey U. That will lead to increased ticket sales. They're also shooting for more TV exposure. Schiano is good for both. And, both will lead to a more positive recruiting message. Both of these are things that the WVU coaches have never had to worry about.

Schiano is much like the Brown hire at WVU. The locals wanted someone that they feel related to regardless of anything else that person might actually bring.

Schiano is actually from NJ, and coached there before to one of their few successful periods.

But he also now has both NFL experience and experience coaching the most successful college football program outside of Alabama in recent times--Ohio State---which happens to be in Rutgers conference.

He might not easily be able to do it, but he knows what it would take to win in the Big Ten, and New Jersey has the recruiting base to get you there if he can keep them from going to PSU, OSU etc.

That's out there even for you. WVU hired Brown because WVU fans felt related to Brown? Really? When WVU hired Brown, WVU fans knew nothing about him. As Frasier Crane once said to Cliff Clavan, "What color is the sky in your world?"

He can be as popular as he wants. Does that translate to wins?

7-5 or 6-6 could be his maximum. That's if he plays a Baylor type OOC.

Schiano 68-67 (28-48) at RU. Ranked only one time an finished 12th.

Schiano is a very good DC. Other than that is still a question mark.

Rutgers will have a hard time competing with the likes of Michigan, Ohio state, PSU, Michigan State. Questions will be on recruiting. Do you want to play for Ohio State, PSU or RU?

Without taking sides in this pissing match between skunks, that's a funny line!
