Saturday’s loss to KU = a damn good mountaineer moral victory! nm

I saw the end of Kansas' win at a sports bar in New York. None of the other patrons seemed to care.

You telling me WVU lost the game on Saturday? I thought they won, based on all the celebrations I was seeing on Facebook and other forms of social media.
The only people I see calling our loss to Kansas a moral victory a few non Mountaineer fans on this forum. But I will say that even with that loss and our 16-13 record most experts still are saying we have an outside chance at making the Big Dance. That's what playing the 6th toughest schedule in the nation can do for you. Maybe Doctrine Dan should think about that the next time he's scheduling MEC teams as regular season games.

I see Mountaineer fans on this very site claiming a huge moral victory.

Why are you talking about the Herd's coach? What does that have to do with Todd's discussion?

Just saw the CBS update, and Jerry Palm has WVU as the 68th team, i.e., last team to get in. He had Michigan as the 69th team, first team to be left out. Wisconsin was like the 66th team, so I'm not understanding how this is working. Michigan has a better record than Wisconsin, a much better conference record than Wisconsin, and a much higher NET ranking than Wisconsin.

Regardless, it will all play itself out over the next the next week, and possibly into conference tournament week.
