For Patterson's recruitment overall, he's starting to narrow things down in his mind and start thinking about a commitment.
"I'm starting to cut my list down," he said. "I got one more visit I'm trying to get to."
That one visit he's trying to get to is West Virginia. The Mountaineers haven't offered yet, but he is hearing from the coaching staff.
"I've been talking to coach DeForest," Patterson said. "He recruits the Jacksonville area; he hits me up on [Twitter] direct messaging all of the time. I'm trying to get up there before the season starts which is in like four weeks."
