Well on the 2nd attempt (which was a 1st and goal from the one after BYU jumped into the neutral zone the play before) we were called for too many men in the backfield (more than 4). Well take a look at this...they were wrong. QB, HB, FB and Slot were in the backfield....everyone else was on the line. Cheatin refs

I'll have to stop action check my recording of the game. It all depends where they where when the ball was snapped, of course. If either 12 or 2 took 1 step back before the snap, then they would be in the backfield. As it is, both are about as close to the black line as the QB, which could put both of them in the backfield. I'll check it out closely. Not "cheating refs," in any case. Refs make mistakes. They don't "cheat."

They just make calls against our team and we don't like it, but we love it when they makes calls against the other team, which the officiating crew did more than once, and got called for it by the announcers. But we only see when OUR bull is being gored, and just cheer when the other side's bull is being gored.

Human nature.

I took this picture straight off my DVR literally paused right as he was snapping the ball the WRs never moved. Also - the "cheating refs" was a tongue in cheek comment not to be taken literally. However, there was also 0:00.0 seconds on the clock when the QB still had the ball in his hand when he spiked it at the end of the 1st half...I watched that one about 5 times to make sure I wasn't going crazy.

Just because a person is a referee does not mean he cannot cheat. Which is not to say it is the norm.

Husbands and wives cheat.
Politicians cheat.
Taxpayers cheat.
Athletes, coaches, boosters and administrators cheat.
Bankers cheat.
Lawyers cheat.
Construction companies cheat.
Plumbers cheat.
Sales persons cheat.
Insurance adjusters cheat.
Students cheat.
Teachers cheat.
Law enforcement personnel cheat.
Priests and ministers cheat.

Referees ain't nothin' special.
