Howard would probably be in the top 45 of power 5 qbs.. top 30 would be pushing it.. but if you're going by guts, determination, i dont know of any qbs that would surpass howard on those traits, which might be the difference in a 7-5 season and 8-4, which is what we're looking at for sure barring a huge upset at TCU, which is not impossible. I think we keep it very close until the 4th at least.
Looking at things logically, and not just moving with the sway of the ship, so to speak, we actually look to fare very well the rest of the way. We are #28 in Sagarin, which I dont think takes into consideration the loss of joseph, but of the 6 b12 teams we have yet to face, only tcu ranks ahead of us. Our chances of winning all 5 of the other games arent good, chances are decent that we'd win 3 or 4 of them. We have a QB who's started 6 meaningful games in his college career, we've lost the heart and soul of our defense, and we've played the 16th hardest schedule in America with a top 5 team coming up. Things aren't smellin great right now, but going forward, our d will learn to play without KJ, our QB play is likely to improve and our schedule gets much easier down the stretch overall.
