Did anyone really expect to win yesterday? Baylor is probably the best team in the nation and they average more than 60 points per game. They have one of the best defensive lines in the country. We played two Top 20 teams, and will have played two Top 5 teams..3 of 4 of those games on the road. The only game that really upset me is the OSU game at home. We should have won that game by 10-13 points easy. Turnovers killed us.

I would rather play highly ranked teams with capacity crowds in a power conference then win most of our games against pitiful competition in front of ridiculously small crowds....ala MARSHALL.

Quit whining. Support your team. This is a brutal stretch in the schedule...not the end of the world!

From a Season ticketholder and will be again next year.

I did not expect a win.....just not the mistakes and redzone issues.....the real test is coming the rest of the way.....TCU is the best of the rest.....but we can't take any of them for granted. "Still ALIVE in Year Five!"

I think this is the reality. The team is 3-3 halfway through the season. This isn't our fathers Big East schedule.

Mountaineer fans should not have expected to win against Baylor. But, they should expect to be entertained. Holgs delivered against Baylor! Now hear this: The Mountaineers still have a chance to win out. What would be wrong with a 9-3 record and a trip to a major bowl? Just answer me that.

I am a Mountaineer and I expect to win every damn game we play! Other teams drink no magic elixir that makes them unbeatable, they just do what we have failed to do; hire the right coaches. Rich had as at that level despite his personality issues, Stewart took a loaded gun and shot like Barney Fife with it. Dana has been put in a position above his glass ceiling and we are suffering for it.

I never want to see the Mountaineers lose and watching them lose is heartbreaking but I also know we wont make a change until the circumstances are dire...I hope we lose the rest of the games this season to force a change.

Somehow your first 4 words don't match the last few words in your last sentence. o_Oo_O

"Did anyone expect to win yesterday." That speaks volumes about the state of our program. We should have every right to expect to win a game against a top 5 team in year number 5 of our head coach's tenure. If not, we should be in a conference with Marshall. By the way, you will not be watching games at home with capacity crowds if this continues. The novelty of being in the Big 12 has worn off. Being in a top conference and losing continually makes you just like Duke, Vanderbuilt, and Indiana. Do those schools make you think of football excitement?

I beg to differ.

Just kidding.

I think you sum it up well. This is what playing big boy football is about. There's gonna be some tough ones. This is the toughest October stretch I ever remember. I love playing the best.

Let's Go Mountaineers!
Beat TCU!

WTF is with everyone wanting to drop our program into a mid-major conference simply because we are losing games? You sound ridiculous. Get real people.

Winning.......or......getting beat by the "best"????? Sounds like you'd rather get beat by the best, finish the seasons at 5-7, and say "hey, look at us....we are in a power 5"!!!!!!!! Keep pounding that chest Darth. Congrats, we are now Vanderbilt.

Yes, I'd rather go 7-5 in one the nation's best conferences, see the university and our athletic department well funded, have national exposure on a level we never had before, give our students incredible opportunities, and have a secured future, than win 10 games as a mid-major.

The administration at WVU feels that same, as does every other responsible steward of the university.

The Walmart fans will need to cope with this reality.

OR.....we could rise up and have in our mind that we can compete for Big 12 championships. How bad was Baylor 7-8 years ago? How bad was K-State after Snyder retired the first time? They made a push. But, according to you, WVU should just be happy we are 7-5 year in year out, with an occasional 4-8 season. Yeah, and you call us "Walmart" fans.

LOL! Walmart fans - we sure have our share.

Whether they are happy with it or not, it doesn't matter. We could lose every game for the next decade and we won't be devaluing ourselves and becoming a mid-major (which mean eliminating other programs, never updating facilities, not being able to afford good coaches like Bob Huggins, ect.).

Face it folks, we are in the B12 for the long haul. The t-shirt fans may not like it but that's the truth.

The Big 12 really hasn't performed all that well in the post season since we have been a member.
Oklahoma's win over Alabama is about the best win we have seen the conference have. That win covered up the embarrassment of Central Florida's beat down of 2013 Big 12 champ Baylor

And how well will 40,000 fans be for WVU football if this keeps up? Remember those days? Fans, like it or not, are the investors in the sports program. If they don't see a return (which is wins and competing for championships) they won't continue investing. But, you are a businessman, you understand this.

Fans are not investors. They are customers.

Why bother arguing this? It's not going to happen. We aren't leaving the B12 to join the MAC, or CUSA. Get real. You keep talking about business, so let me ask you this? Why would a business devalue themselves, and cut revenues by 75% (the difference between a B12 media contract and CUSA)? LOL - Yeah, we'll be drawing huge crowds playing Old Dominion and FIU.

You clowns are funny.

LOL - Yeah, just ask any businessman and he'll tell you. The best thing you can do for your operation is cut your revenue in over half and decrease your visibility.

OK, you have completely missed my point. I never said anything about us leaving the Big 12. What I was saying is that we might have been better off (as a football program) to have remained in a lower level since most of you all are content and happy with .500 teams and the occasional upset of the year. The bowl games we will go to will have the same payout, and same amount of tickets sold, as the bowl games we would have gotten in the AAC. You disagree?

Now, as for revenue from the league, sure it's been great. But I'm talking about the football program, something that we all once had pride in and expectations in. Now, it seems our fanbase in just 5 years as said "hey, maybe we can go 7-5 this year!!!!!!"....with an excited voice. Sorry if I don't share that with you.

Personally, I'd find no pleasure being the biggest midget on the block and like our current affiliation.
