The stadium did look great.
It was hard to tell if our defense played well, or if Mizzou's offense is just that dreadful. But, they are an SEC team and we stuffed their run game, so we played well in the trenches. Holding them scoreless when we hand them the ball on the 5 was a good stand by the D.
We have the same problems that plagued us last year. Finishing. Drives or games. Drive with relative ease down to the 10 and then stall out and have to settle for field goals. And then we didn't finish the game either. We really should have had a lot more than 26 points, but with Skylar's injured ribs it seems we were content to mostly just run the ball and then Skylar didn't play at all for more than half of the 4th.
Mizzou puts A LOT of players in the NFL on the defensive side and we moved the ball on them relatively easily, so that was good to see. Also, it was his first game but Crawford looks to be a pretty good back.
O-line played well, even with Pankey out for being an idiot and the injury to Cajuste. The front of the D played well too. And that's where football is won and lost, so both of those were promising. Mizzou is average at best though, so I'm cautiously optimistic.
As I left the stadium I was a bit disappointed since it seemed we should have run them out of the building, but after watching all of the other upsets and near upsets (Tenn Appy St) our win started looking better and better.
