how were his civil rights violated in high school?...how bout the civil rights of the folks he and his buddies beat up and terrorized.......old proverb......people who live in glass houses.....maybe he needs to watch the documentary about him
I thought the documentary was very good for Randy and the "kid" that his ass beat by Randy alone should keep his racists comments to himself. A good lesson for all of us, if you get in some ones face and call them names , you might get your ass beat!how were his civil rights violated in high school?...how bout the civil rights of the folks he and his buddies beat up and terrorized.......old proverb......people who live in glass houses.....maybe he needs to watch the documentary about him
Gruden is entitled to his opinions just like anybody else....but he's not entitled to his job.NFL wide receivers are such temperamental divas. Keyshawn Johnson couldn't wait to pile on Gruden, too.
Also the emails just happened to magically leak right before Demaurice Smith was being voted on as president of the players union again. As soon as it came out that Gruden had e-mailed something about Roger Goodell's sexual preference, Gruden's goose was cooked. Goodell is a vindictive pr!ck, and Gruden wasn't ever going to get away with having taken a shot at the most overpaid man in America.
As I remember, that wasn’t exactly how it went down, but I do not want to make a big deal over it to draw in the ilk to the board by commenting.I thought the documentary was very good for Randy and the "kid" that his ass beat by Randy alone should keep his racists comments to himself. You and I would have walked away with a sticks and stones attitude but an 18 years old who's just been a called a racially derogatory name for an Black American might be compelled to put a fist where the insult was hurled from. But I agree a closed door from many years ago!As I remember, that wasn’t exactly how it went down, but I do not want to make a big deal over it to draw in the ilk to the board by commenting.
But I will say this, with nothing to gain and a lot to loose, Randy should of walked away. He did what he did and paid for his actions.
Close the door.
One could argue that they were overpaid 1a and 1b...As soon as it came out that Gruden had e-mailed something about Roger Goodell's sexual preference, Gruden's goose was cooked. Sled, you're just pi$$ed because Randy didn't show up at Don Nehlen Drive.how were his civil rights violated in high school?...how bout the civil rights of the folks he and his buddies beat up and terrorized.......old proverb......people who live in glass houses.....maybe he needs to watch the documentary about him
dandy don would have sent him packing quicker than bobby b or whoever was coaching notre shame didSled, you're just pi$$ed because Randy didn't show up at Don Nehlen Drive.
He didn't cut it at ND or FSU due to the weed, wasn't it? Moss could murder some people in high school, and many college coaches would still recruit him. Just couldn't be a white guy murdering a black guy though.NotreDame did send him packing (Lou Holtz) and so did Florida State (Bobby Bowden). What happened to Randy was a direct result of his actions and he paid for them. Timed served - close the door.
If you want to rail him for his time at Marshall or in the NFL, have at it, but he paid a huge price for what happened in the halls of DuPont High School.
He wasn't going to sit for a year just to go to WVU...Randy may well have been NFL ready out of HS, we were blessed to have him for two years in Green and White!ND cut him loose over the fight at school. FSU dropped him over the weed. To be honest, I don’t know if he would of went to WVU or not (I seriously doubt it). He was offered, but his goal was the NFL and he wanted to get to play immediately, so Marshall was his best path forward. He lost a year with the redshirt at FSU.
I've heard Jerry Jones say he's the one haunted by that decision! I still remember Moss blowing right by the Cowboys in the Thanksgiving day game! What supposed WVU fan knows the details of Randy Moss' high school and college days? Answer: The same hypocrites who accuse anybody who roots against WVU of being a Marshall fan. My only memory of Moss is that he haunted my dumb a$$ Cowboys for not drafting him.
If you objectively look at Randy's " crimes" he was guilty of punching a kid in the mouth after being called a racial slur and kicking him after he knocked him ( harder to justify than the original punch). While on probation for the first " offense" he came up hot on the mandatory piss test for weed and was locked up. All of that occurred when he was 18-19 years old. He never in trouble at MU prior to the draft. So if Jones wanted to call him a "low character" guy I guess that was his prerogative. He's he's done very well in post playing day career but Mr. Jones has done very well also in spite of this missed opportunity. What pi$$es me off most about Dallas' not drafting Moss is that the Cowboys have never shied away from drafting or signing thugs as free agents at any other time during Jones' tenure as Dallas' owner. Jerry was scared to add Moss to a roster that already had Michael Irvin and other guys of questionable character. 1998 was the wrong year in which to take your one and only stand against low-character guys.
Kicking the guy was the reason he ended up in the hospital and took it to the next level. If you objectively look at Randy's " crimes" he was guilty of punching a kid in the mouth after being called a racial slur and kicking him after he knocked him ( harder to justify than the original punch). Yes, much harder to justify than the original punch in the mouth! I also suspect the "victim" might have been 17 and therefore still a juvenile where as Randy was probably 18 an a adult. Certainly a bad look to put the boots to someone after you've decked a fellow who richly deserved it.Kicking the guy was the reason he ended up in the hospital and took it to the next level.
Hahahahahaha....I saw that , more comical than criminal. Also not a good look running over a parking meter worker. But that came later in the NFL. 😕
Highly doubt thatdandy don would have sent him packing quicker than bobby b or whoever was coaching notre shame did
"He never in trouble at MU prior to the draft." Well, lets just say things can be kept secret/hidden, and things can be done for a top 5 WR of all time.If you objectively look at Randy's " crimes" he was guilty of punching a kid in the mouth after being called a racial slur and kicking him after he knocked him ( harder to justify than the original punch).
