I was able to speak with Iowa State cornerback Sam E. Richardson during today's breakout sessions. He was one of the few players in the league to play against expected 2015 West Virginia starting QB Skyler Howard. Richardson gave me a full scouting report and told me when Iowa State found out Howard was going to start against them last season, it completely changed their game plan. He said they had to do way more studying because of Howard's ability to extend plays. I'll be including a lot of Richardson's comments in a piece I have lined up for Thursday.
