I know it has been discussed extensively, but I am curious. I'm not providing any new information....just asking some questions for opinions from those "in the know". Questions:

1) When does the Longhorn Network contract expire?

2) Is the dislike of the Longhorn Network by other BigXII school unanimous?

3) If #2 is true (which I would think so), would the remaining BigXII schools stand up to Texas at the risk of them leaving? Or do they just prefer to bitch about it and then go quiver in a corner.

4) If there were a BigXII without Texas, but 3-5 schools from other P5 conferences added, would the BigXII schools stick together (OU specifically) and stay put?

5) Could you see a scenario where the BigXII began working a Conference TV deal now that would take effect at the time of the LHN expiring? I'm supposing it could be done and kept quiet with NDA's. This would either force Texas' hand and show solidarity by other members or completely implode.

6) Could the deal be written for the 10 teams as they stand, or with/without Texas and 3-5 P5 schools added. The contract could be tiered (i.e. you add these 3 schools you get X amount, you add these 3 other schools you get Y amount)

7) Do you think if Texas were to leave, equity was promised by each member and a TV contract showed the BigXII could compete financially with the other P5 conferences, many of the past defections (and possibly additions) would come to the BigXII.

It is somewhat of a far fetched scenario, but one thing I have learned in all of this is that ANYTHING could happen in the conference shuffle.

I know you don't have all the answers, but just wanted to get your opinion. Thanks!
