I don't think it had an impact on the game (although that first TD I think the entire line was holding) but are you telling me they played so clean that they only had 1 penalty the entire game?! Only 2 other teams had 1 penalty in their first game last week. The average was 6 for all 130 teams. Last year PSU averaged a little over 5 penalties per game - almost 6 per game in their August/September games. Even the best (least penalized) team last year averaged almost 4 penalties per game.
