We have sent a lot of DB’s to NFL but it seems like it a weak point every year on defense. Secondary in general.

What Clemson did to Bama was what Lincoln Riley figured out about Bama's Secondary
Unless you allow pretty much illegal contact downfield it is hard for even the best DBs to control the field with a QB with an elite arm at the college level.
There are things to do but it opens you up.
The shotgun has a lot to do with it.
Plus the smaller WRs.
Teams went big at CB to play physical but WR like Marquise Brown can get past the majority of DBs.
After the Oklahoma game Tom Herman made sure his staff knew they need better athletes in the secondary.

It is a team sport. If only one DB is any good or the pass rush really sucks, then the whole pass defense looks like shite.
Yep! Hard to take these stat seriously when we watch our secondary get torched regularly
