I really thought our fundamentals would be better under Devries but it seems we're getting worse every game, especially in the 2nd halves. Probably wore out. Lack of depth. Next year should fix that.

lol I was about to say the same. I can’t remember many Huggs teams that were considered good passers.

This is the issue. They try to pass too much in too cute of a ways. Too many passes into the paint in traffic

Small actually makes some pretty good passes. The guys he throws them to can’t catch.

Which is why he needs to be way more selfish.

We get decent shots…we just can’t shoot. 8 man rotation, 2 true freshmen, and only 3-4 players who can be reasonably expected to make a damn step in jump shot. Just not a receipt for offensive efficiency.

Yeah I think this is more of the problem. He’s made some really great passes and a ton of lobs that I haven’t seen from a WVU player in several years. On a side note, have we ever had a team with this many shot clock violations?

Well Huggs teams were terrible at defensive rebounding too for different reasons, but at least they grabbed a bunch of their own misses.

I find little to say negative about this team or the coach. These young man played hard but not enough depth to stay fresh for an entire season.
How many were thinking of a 19 won regular season when we did not even have a team?
Do you think they went into any game to lose?
Short on players through a long tough basketball schedule is exceptionally hard.
I congratulate these players for the great season, anh hope to see coach DD back and build a great program here .

So it all depends on what happens with NIL. There is only so much a coach can do when the roster is limited.

I don’t think there’s any question we can build a roster that’s more capable offensively, with or without Tucker.
