We’ve been kicking the can down the road for years. Iran is hostile and they’ve been close to a nuclear weapon. Why wait?
Wondering if Trump is playing this like the tariffs? Maybe he is trying to push the other middle east countries to step up and take the Palestinians.
That's what I think. The Arabs don't want us over there any more than we want them over here.
Trump uses every tool in his arsenal to negotiate. It was amusing watching moe and his legacy media panic over tariffs because they couldn't understand what Trump was really doing.
I hope this is a feign for the Arab states to step up. Otherwise, this is the most dumb idea he's floated yet.

Isreal kicks Iran's tail anytime they want to. We don't need to be there. Our presence as an occupier of Gaza would only inflame the Middle East, it wouldn't lower the pressure at all, only increase it. If it's a strategic move, it's a terrible one.
If it's an economic move, it's a terrible one. Any reduction in spending we have found, we would spend and then some if we make Gaza Largo.
The only possible positive out of this is a feign to get Saudi and others to play ball.

That’s the difference. Whether it comes to fruition, Trump said the US would take control of Gaza.
I agree with this 100% Trump knows even suggesting this will make the Arab world bristle and work to prevent it...which is exactly what Trump wants them to do! (in addition to taking in the Palestinians who no Arab country wants btw)
Trump isn’t planning for the US to not have an incentive. Don’t assume the US won’t make money. That’s the difference
It is so everyone can calm down. It's also to get Countries there to fund doing something for the displaced. However bringing them here would be the dumbest idea anyone could come up with. Like the Democrats have done numerous times.
