Although Dana's job is not in immediate jeopardy, he has hit the ceiling here and will not win a championship.

Dana will leave if a job in the Midwest or Texas comes open--maybe Texas Tech or Kansas State.

WVU should open the vault in hiring a replacement, though few big names would be willing to live in Morgantown. To get a proven winner, we'll have to accept some baggage. These are 10 possibilities:
  1. Art Briles
  2. Doc Holliday
  3. Bob Davie (resurrected New Mexico Lobos)
  4. Lane Kiffin (great recruiter / would live in Morgantown part-time for a P5 job)
  5. Paul Pasqualoni (understands Northeast recruiting)
  6. Houston Nutt
  7. Hugh Freeze
  8. Randy Shannon (great South Florida recruiter)

If those are our options, I'll keep Dana..........he's definitely better than the list your provided.

I'm confident this post was presented in jest. No one is so unintelligent as to offer such nonsense and be serious about it. Anyone truly suggesting that which is in this post should be considered a prime candidate for immediate confinement within a mental institution.

You lost me with the first two names--Art Briles, who should not be allowed to coach young men, and Doc Holliday.

Holliday is a WVU alum and is a winner. We might be able to convince App State's Scott Satterfield to live in Morgantown. Satterfield is an up and comer.

is this post necessary? Good grief. Dana isn't perfect, but he isn't bad enough to get fired.

Pasqualoni is the only one on the list who would be interested and be willing to live in Morgantown. Doc is too established at Marshall. He is an icon down there.

Doc would LOVE the WVU job. He's still pissed that he didn't get it the last time it was available. Doc would JUMP at that opportunity. But I don't know if Shane Lyons wants Doc. Shane probably will see if anyone on Saban's staff is willing to trade a job with the national champs to come to West Virginia. Slim chance, huh?
