Played softball

Last night for the first time in 3 years, fast pitch. Had to take Advil and bio freeze to work this morning. Damn it sucks getting old.
I played in leagues and tournaments until I was 57...those last couple of years improved Ben Gay's stock about 15%.....not much fast pitch played in Virginia anymore and slow pitch has become a home run battle.......get to go back to golf next Tuesday if it quits raining

I played in that scramble on Thursday even though the rain was plentiful. I was crushing the ball off the tee. I did slip on one tee off due to the slickness and drilled a screamer off the ball washer. I could try to do that again 1000 times and miss.

Lol I hit a shank a few years back off the tee on a par 3 at Sugarwood in Lavalette. Hit the top of a moving golf cart (the ranger) I blamed it on him but truthfully I never saw him. Absolutely the worst shot I've ever hit but by far the most memorable

I was absolutely crushing off the tee that day. I was trying to clear over the trees of a dog leg, and I broke the washer. I had just hit a 300+ yarder two holes ago doing the same thing. I am so out of practice, and my short game is an insult to golf though. I give credit to my driver.

two or three weeks ago I blocked a tee shot at Lakeview in Harrisonburg, and, according to my pro, came about a foot from rearranging the windshield and front end of a Mazda RX-7

I've been playing golf since the early 70's, and not once have I ever been hit with a golf ball. I've come close multiple times, but never actually pelted with one......until this past Saturday, and I got hit with my own damn ball. Hit a drive into the trap, and attempted to hit an 8 iron from 100 yards out, scalded the shot, and it caught the lip, and the damn ball somehow came right back at me, and hit me below the right eye. On the positive side, I always wanted dimples.

a few years ago my Saturday morning greensmower was sick so I did it. There was a tournament scheduled that day and as I was mowing the last couple of swipes it felt like someone stabbed me with a knife in the back. I had to hold on to the steering column of the mower to keep from falling off......some idiot had hit a screamer from 150 yds and got me good....he said he couldn't see me but it was raining, I had on a yellow rainsuit on a red greensmower. I picked the ball up and threw it back at him and told him what I would do with his club and where I would put it if he ever did that again. Had I not been the boss I probably couldn't have gotten by with it, but that bruise stayed for a week and hurt like hell, and someone could have been hurt
