Fans of WVU before our past 2 coaches came here can remember the constant year after year status of being “on the bubble” for the tourney.

Now we complain about losing an major conference championship game and whether or not we can get beyond the Sweet 16.

I’m not pointing fingers...just a time to appreciate how far Beilein and Huggs have taken us.

We are a #11 to #25 team, which is wonderful. We are not a top #10 team.

The way I see it... If we are a #11 - #25 team, we should get through opening weekend round of 64/32.
After that, we don't advance past Sweet 16 without either 1) favorable matchup, 2) play over our heads, 3) a bit of luck. We simply aren't as talented as 1 & 2 seeds.

That doesn't mean there isn't a path to national championship. Maybe we get lucky in Sweet 16... maybe we get favorable match-up in Elite 8... then maybe we play over our heads in Fin Four. It can happen. But when we have played teams with better raw talent (Kentucky, Virginia, Kansas), we went 1-5.
