We have to be big Oklahoma fans on Saturday to take down Kansas. If they do, that puts to two of us in a two-way tie for 1st. Will set up a monster home game against Oklahoma for the crown.
Regarding tonight's game, I thought we were a bit too passive in the 1st half. We're not going to beat KS playing a half court game. In the 2nd half, we were much more aggressive on both ends and sped them up. They just happened to hit shots...it happens. Had we made a few of the easy shots around the basket, and got the game within a bucket, they may have tightened up and who knows what might have happened....
But, again, we are in a great spot if we can get Holton back and keep progressing.
Two last things: great to see Adrian get his confidence back. That's big. The next big step forward we need to take is to see Macon step up. He's not been very good the past few games...fumbling passes, trying to do things he simply can't reliably do now. We fall off big offensively at the post when Williams goes to the bench. Need Macon to slow down and get control of his game. We're going to need him down the stretch.
