As we’ e noticed with our team as well, Purdue rushed 3 on 2nd and 18. Guess what happened? The Wisconsin QB had all the time in the world, I couldn’t 6 seconds before he threw the ball, and they picked up the first down. Rushing 3, and dropping everyone else back on long yardage plays, RARELY WORKS!! Eventually someone will get open. It’s happened to us so many time on 2nd and 3rd and long. We should never rush less than 4. Never!!
