Freedom-Woodbridge football to play six-game 2024 varsity schedule
Freedom-Woodbridge High School will only play its six Cardinal District opponents this season in varsity football.
So Freedom Woodbridge (in Prince William Co) has won the last two highest class Virginia football titles... their Coach took a job at Hayfield HS (in Fairfax Co Va)... he has taken most of the roster with him (the schools are 15 miles apart).
Now Freedom can not play a varsity schedule. Rumor had it here in Prince William that many of his kids at Freedom were from as far away as Fredericksburg Va.
As the article notes Fairfax Co schools are investigating the transfer practices of this Coach now. My BIL is the DC at Marshall HS in Falls Church Va and said the Coach has been discussed by a bunch of HS ADs and their has been talk of refusing to schedule OOC games with Hayfield in coming seasons....
