I have read at least two articles this week talking about the negative side effects of hoppy beers. I really like IPA's and don't think the level needed to cause "man boobs, baldness, and sleepyness" and other estrogenic effects are caused unless you are a very heavy drinker. Does anyone know the therapeutic level needed for hops to actually produce the negative side effects?
These links give some background but does not talk about therapeutic levels and exactly how much hops it would take to actually reach these levels.

This link refutes the other articles but still does not get into the pharmacological levels to help me understand potency.

Thought it was interesting based on the fact the IPA's dominate the micro-brew market.
This may also explain some of us on the blue lot
