We look completely GASSED! No energy whatsoever...and Sutter is doing us NO favors today...

Back to back afternoons have something to do with it? A far different effort than the last time we faced the Wings...

Ugly.....you can reconcile the occasional game when nothing goes your way.

But when you start embarrassing yourself, like when Downie runs over an official or Letang just can't figure out how to keep his mouth shut.....and worse, do it on the the National Game of the Week telecast.....that's an entirely different thing altogether. Not sure there's anything worse in this game than when a team (like the Pens today) starts feeling sorry for itself.

Everyone on the bench.....including the Coaching staff.....owns this one, and each of them needs to spend some time looking in the mirror later today. I kind-of wish Mario would come out of his ivory tower and go read all of them the riot act.

More bad news

According to Pens media Twitter, Hornqvist's 3rd period injury may potentially be serious. Add that to Geno's injury yesterday.....the two losses.....and they way they lost today.....and this is about as bad a weekend as the team could possibly have.

Agreed, I feel sorry for the ones that paid to see that crap today...unacceptable.

Didn't see the Hornqvist injury, I think it must have been after I turned it off, as it was beginning to make me feel rather ill...really hoping it's not serious...did you see/hear what it might have been?

I'd turned it off myself; but I don't get the impression anyone knew much about it immediately after it happened. However, Johnston clearly told the media in the post-game he was concerned the injury could be serious.......supposedly, nothing more will be reported until tomorrow.

Meanwhile, I just saw stats that said the Pens are 4-8-2 in their last 14 afternoon games.......and 6-7-2 in their last 15 home games.

Yeah we certainly don't seem to be very adept at showing up in the afternoon...

Actually come to think of it, afternoon faceoff's don't really tend to be very common up here at all, I would bet that 9 out of ten afternoon matchups happen in the US (I will have to look up the stats on that). I think they draw just as well at the gate, but the TV numbers are significantly lower from what I hear...

Did you see Milbury highlight the image of the guy sleeping right behind the Pens bench? Lol...late night at the bar combined with uninspired hockey would probably do that to myself as well....If he paid for those seats then he certainly burnt several hundred bucks for no good reason...

After Saturday's game I said they were done

Nobody can score on this team if Geno and Sid don't either put in the net or get a primary assist

I did not get to see the game. I was in Morgantown for Mountain Stage (great show!) I told my wife on the way there that I forgot to set the DVR to record the game. By the sound of it, I am kind of glad I did. The playoffs are looming: Got to get some people healthy. If Hornqvist's injury is serious, as some of you have suggested, it might be one and out.

Yep, you certainly would be thankful you didn't subject yourself to that mess yesterday...this one tomorrow vs the Devils looms pretty important imo...the teams around us just keep on rollin'...especially the Rangers! One and done we will certainly be if we get the wrong matchup, and health is an issue...
