OT: how can LSU be so bad offensively?

It would be fun to see Fournette run in an open offense.

Miles is a good coach. Fans down there are crazy. Lots of insecurity over bama....

He needs to find an offensive coordinator who knows how to use athleticism. Not since Jimbo Fisher have they had that kind of offense.

"Come back ,Nick, come back!" They pine for that man like some fans here pine for Rich.

LSU is always going to have talent. The HS football culture is nuts, LSU has been King of the hill there since Washington was president, and the kids can develop year round thanks to the climate.

Pick the best 15-18 in-state kids and go look for handful of others, it must be nice.

I didn't think after last years debacle at Firing Les Miles that he'd be in trouble, but I think he's gone.

Only real question Do they get Jimbo or Tom Herman? Or is Mystery Candidate #3 ie Bobby Petrino (ha ha)?

Their QB doesn't even appear to be a D-I QB - how many of those have we won with in recent memory?

Their QB can't make reads, misses open receivers, and it seems that whole offense assumes "RB hand-off" is the only play that matters.

That's my point. How can LSU not have a D1 qb? I'm not talking a Ty Detmer or David Klingler passer. They don't even have a Marcus Vick, How?

It has to be Les Miles' philosophy...The best the offense has looked as an all around attack was back in 13 with Zac Mettingberger. With all of LSU's talent, you can't have just a generic run based offense. Hell, lane Kiffin came into a "not broken, do not fix" situation at Bama and he turned their offense into a whole different world.

Dave Aranda will be the next LSU head coach IMO

Darth, I disagree that Les is a good coach. Watching the end of that 'auburn game last night was a perfect example of Miles ineptitude at in game coaching. He has never developed a QB and he is stubborn as a mule with his run, run, pass, punt offense.

Not to mention he refuses to fire his friends AKA the dead weight on his staff (Cameron and Peveto)

The fact that LSU hasn't had a good QB, and Mettenberger does not count as a good QB, in the past decade is just completely mind boggling. The resources that school has, the location, and the conference should be enough to bring in a blue chip prospect at least every other year. I know the sites are throwing out stars left and right for guys that commit, but it's getting clear that it's just not the case.
