I just heard the latest forecast which has a low pressure system setting up shop in the southeast which would force the storm further offshore and out into the Atlantic. Keeping my fingers crossed this new forecast holds up, as I've got a sister and brother in law just inland of the north central Jersey shore in Monmouth County.

I keep holding out hope for the ACC games....especially ND & Clemson, but also MD & Michigan. We don't want any harm to come to those games

I don't watch the weather on the coast except when I go to the beach. Is this a full hurricane or just a tropical storm?

I'll check out weather.com

Okay I checked it out. The current path will hit the NE (NY, NJ, etc) next Tuesday. The south looks like it will get some rain, but the path now is mainly out to Sea in the Atlantic. Nags head may get some but they've had worse.

The weekend rain has nothing to do with the hurricane. It's a northeaster. The Carolinas and midatlantic will get up to 12 inches of rain and WV is right in line. Roanoke va is expected to get up to 8 inches. That much rain and mountains do not mix well.
