SDSU is a high quality opponent. That’s the beauty of college basketball, don’t have to be a big P5 school or brand name to be legit. They will win their conference and very well could be a 2nd weekend team. Entire starting 5 back from last year, space out ball, pass ball very well, and can knock down shots. They are really solid and gave us great test. We need to be better and we will be better, 1st game of season with no scrimmages or exhibitions
GOOD POINT ABOUT FIRST GAME OF SEASON. OSCAR NEEDS TO LEARN TO BE AGGRESSIVE WITHOUT FOULING SO MUCH, LIKE CULVER. DEREK HAD ONLY 7 POINTS BUT WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR A LOT MORE WVU SCORING WITH HIS DEFENSE, REBOUNDING AND PASSING. CULVER IN REALITY IS THE GLUE THAT HOLDS THE BLUE TOGETHER.
Folks are too knee jerk but that’s the society we live in these days. Even if we lost, I wasn’t going to be too down. Now if we are playing like this in January after several games, I would be worried. But first game of season after no scrimmages/exhibitions, limited summer ball, etc........nah not gonna panic after 1 game against a very underrated SDSU team

He ended up moving to UNLV and taking the best player David Jenkins Jr. Mike Daum graduated.
They still are a good program. Their new coach was an assistant.
The all shoot very well and spread the floor.
A lot like Lon Kruger at OU. OU gives WVU a lot of issues.
You knew South Dakota State would tonight. Plus they know how to win. But WVU has better talent and looks like they know how to handle themselves late in the game.

Culver doesn't pass in necessary situations. Great he had 4 assist but they didn't come from when he is in the block. If he's down low and triple teamed he still forces his way to the basket. Teams don't care to foul him because he throws up clunkers. He gets lazy on defense as well.
