It’s pretty simple. They funnel the money into ratholes that kick right back to their reelection campaigns or directly into their pockets.

It’s much much harder in defense. There are a lot more acquisition laws and FAR clauses. Also, DOD acquisition has like 6 committees worth of oversight.

Funneling all that bullshit through Green Energy Grants, International NGOs for USAID, etc. had very little oversite.

I'd say anything a lifetime politicians support is for kickbacks or campaign funding......or to get a family member a nice cushy job!
