my nephew plays football and baseball for St Marys....yesterday he was contacted or "followed" by marshal baseball...they are interested in him......the problem is we have always wanted him to go to a real college....not a junior college that plays football on Friday night and baseball wherever they can find a field.....I sure hope he gets an offer from somewhere....ANYWHERE....hell even newberry....but not the stumbling herd.....he'd be better off playing sandlot

There's nothing wrong with having a relative attend Marshall. I've got no problem with the school itself and I've had several friends and relatives of my own go there. It's their more outspoken delusional fans that I give a hard time, mostly the ones who think they are Notre Dame Junior and America's Team all rolled up in one.

Good luck to your nephew, and who knows, maybe he will get more interest from other schools.

Does the moo have their own baseball field or are they borrowing from local HSs?

Yes, they went and acquired TIF funds. Oh wait, that was you guys sucking the milk out of the hind tit of the WV taxpayers.

Even little old Glenville State found a way to have their own baseball park, and it's a first class facility to say the least.

Don't fault us because Marshall lacks the leadership to get it done.

And while we're talking tax dollars, how much does it cost the WV taxpayers to bus Marshall's baseball team 60 miles to Charleston and back to Huntington every time they have a so-called "home" game ?

Worked out great for a couple of MLB players that attended MU a few short years ago. However, my son will never go to WVU so I get it

I'll bet he would look great in the old gold and blue.....don't you want him to get the best education he can?

I do, which is why I have been putting him at wrestling camps at Cornell with Kyle Dake and Gabe Dean. Why do you think I choose to live in NY and now Connecticut? I want my kids to get a top notch education

If your nephew was more talented, he'd probably have other schools interested in him. You shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth.

Aren't those blue states?

If your son is into wrestling, he will turn out to be a fine young man. That is one sport where the participants know the true meaning of hard work.

He loves it but hes also really into baseball and football as well. I put some of his matches on Twitter @jeffcastle0311, scroll through my media page. Pay no attention to the fool yelling in the background, he gets wound up easy. But only when he has to coach his son, otherwise he’s pretty calm
