What if the NCAA mandated that all referees work in teams and would work with their assigned teams all year long. Would this provide consistency since the teams of officials will be working together game after game? This might limit the number of games they work weekly thus eliminate tired officials not able to keep up? Should the rules be relaxed a little such as a little bump being called a foul? Should they be encouraged from making a call when they can not see it but anticipate a foul? Should they be graded each game and the results be made public? Should their compensation be negatively effected for horrendous calls? On the flip side they could be bonuses for grading out at a certain % ?
Something needs to be done to fix the inconsistantcy in the way games are being called today.
