If we win, it will say a lot about this team. I don't think it means all that much if we lose, though.
Not looking good so far. Just like Texas, can't even get close to a bucket even if wide open. Someone needs to start effectively attacking the basket and maybe getting to the free throw line so at leas there is a chance to score. Although we've seen that fail in the past as well, but we can't keep doing what we've done so far because we know that won't work. Refs are letting the kids play more than other games we've seen, but ticky-tacked Paige on that "push off" yet ignored when Adrian was clearly shoved out of bounds so he couldn't receive a pass down low.
Florida making us look like a bad junior high team. We're supplying the butt. They're supplying the foot.
So is the game so far because WVU is playing poorly or is Florida just that good. I'm lost because when I watched the Texas game I stupidly came to the conclusion that WVU could've played much better, but was told that it was all Texas being too good. So is Florida just destroying the number 9 team because they are that good or is WVU helping them out by not playing like a team deserving of a 9 ranking? I know Florida is no slouch, but I'd argue the latter.

Florida is the over all more talented and athletic team. I watched them destroy Auburn a week or two ago at home and I expected them to come and play that way against us today.
Having Holton on the floor and Philip and Paige not having 3 early fouls would help negate the Gators athleticism. But Florida would still be the more athletic team.
Devin Williams is playing a bit better today. But he gives away as much as, or more than, he gets.
The way I see it .... this is going to be an incredibly difficult time for this team going forward. Will they have momentum going into the post-season? We'll see.
Baylor, with or without Holton, is not going to be a picnic either. We will do well to play .500 ball the rest of the season. And doing that is going to be difficult.
I hope that your personal sense of well-being doesn't hinge on being a Top Ten team.
Yet .... if they can hit the post-season with some momentum they could still make a run in the NCAA's with the right breaks.

he's the key to everything we do well. but other than that, we're good. next year, we will not press like this.
Our front line players for the most part, are little if any, a threat offensively. I realize that is the way this team is built, but at some point in time I would think it is going to be necessary.
Holton handed us 3 losses because of selfishness. That would put us at 5 with another 3 likely based on level of competition. Amazed we could go from a top 10 team to possibly unranked by season's end.
