too bad Huggy can't lay in Morgantown like he did in November and December, but I give the old fox some credit....he know to rack up the wins, if nobody calls him on it! I suspect it'll be a little chilly tomorrow night as well.

How is it, though, a game played 50 miles away from Huntington is regarded as a hostile environment for the Herd when that same game is 150+ miles away from the opponents home territory?

Would a WVU game at Jane Lew be an anti-WVU crowd? That's about 50 miles from Morgantown.

I don't think the Charleston game is hostile for the Herd, 50-50 crowd. But I think any game in Morgantown is hostile to the visitor, as is any home game for any team!

A team, a P5 team with national championships under their belts, who shoot 60% from 3 and take 20 of them, and 53% of all shots from the floor, on their home court, without probably our best all around player.....Well, sometimes you just run into teams that are in the zone. Admittedly they said they shot better than they had all year. Plus, WV didn't play particularly well... actually, played very poorly defensively.. The beating is understood.

Offensively WVU didn't play THAT poorly other than the turnovers. 43% from the floor, 35% from 3, and 88% from the line. Even took 9 more shots. Our defense has gotten more foul conscious and therefore lost a bit of its aggression...which they cannot afford. Then we have guys that can't pass very well resulting in 18 turnovers. Have to go back to playing like the team at the beginning of the year....foul out, you foul out, but you go down aggressively.

Perfect storm for a thumpin.....and that's what we got. Didn't affect the conference race... Iowa St may be the toughest home court in the league so we'll have our work cut out...
