Anyone viewing TV and media advertising could figure this out:

September 26, 2023
Only 6 percent of new S&P 100 jobs went to white applicants in the year after George Floyd’s death, according to an analysis by Bloomberg News.
The analysis, based on data reported to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, shows that S&P 100 companies added 323,094 new jobs between 2020 and 2021. Of that total, 302,570 of them—94 percent of the total increase—went to "people of color," defined as blacks, Asians, and Hispanics, the analysis found. Together, those groups make up just 40 percent of the U.S population.

Seems they don't care about the loss as long as they look good in the eyes of the woke .
As a hourly worker bee when they hire based on stupid shit I make more money.
It is really deeper than that. Some of the largest investing companies such as Black Rock have tied their investment to DEI scores so it has become a business decision to meet a woke threshold or lose funding. Recently some new investment companies have emerged to counter this but it isn't necessarily to look good to the purple haired trans freak. They are meeting a requirement of their investor

A diversity rating firm grades and rates almost all companies....the companies cannot opt out. Everyone is afraid they will look bad.

Can't hire white people only all the time.

But even such big one-time gains — and losses — represent a relatively small slice of the full picture. The share of executive, managerial and professional roles held by people of color increased by about 2 percentage points compared with 2020. That still leaves most companies in our dataset lopsided, with White people holding a disproportionate share of high-paying jobs at S&P 100 companies.

There are new investors who do not look at the diversity grades so while it isn't necessarily opting out it is an alternative route for companies. Since this push started Blackrock for instance has lost some market share

"Spokespeople for Nike, Amazon and CVS declined to discuss the data but said they were committed to diversity and inclusion."

What exactly does "committed to diversity and inclusion" mean to you.......stop hiring the most qualified ?

Why are you a racist?

What is really funny about this nonsense is how some top Universities are now shutting out highly qualified Asian applicants.

Of course. And the effect of forcing less qualified applicants elsewhere will be felt when those people lead competition ahead of them.

NO......the most qualified applicant regardless of race or ethnicity.
Did you read the article? So you're good with white people being over represented in top jobs, etc.? You seem upset that some HR people tried to make their payrolls more reflective of the populace with equally or better qualified people of color. You know zero about the qualifications of the people who were hired during this time period but you're assuming that they could be less qualified (than the white person who 'should' have been hired). Shocker. Maybe most of the companies weren't planning any hiring during the pandemic but many decided to 'rebalance' some at that time due to events, etc. So? If you think the playing field is level for all applicants then you're nuts. I don't think that diverse hiring spree lasted long so you can relax, it's back to business as normal. You know, hiring the 'most qualified applicant regardless of race or ethnicity' or whatever that means in practice.

Hiring is not about having racial representation moron.

I'm not shocked that you don't understand the hiring process. That is usually above the grade for min wage help.

I am for the most qualified people getting the jobs regardless of the populace. If a minority person has the BETTER qualifications.....they should get the job....end of story.

I bet you are really pissed off about the racial make-up of the NBA and NFL....CORRECT ?
I don't have any issue with that because the very best are playing.

I also know about hiring qualifications because my work evaluations and bonuses were based on how many MINORITY companies I awarded contracts and had under contract. Many times I was forced by next level execs to award contracts to the lesser qualified person.
I seriously doubt you know anything about that.

Answer this question :
Are you pissed off about the racial make-up of the NBA and NFL because it is NOT reflective of the populace?

You've gone full retard. Are you feeling ok?
I'm fine.......answer the question.

You're the one that made the "populace" claim....not me......I have zero issue with the NBA and NFL make-up......I just believe the most qualified people should be selected.

In a perfect world that happens but we don't live in one. There is and always has been hiring bias to some degree and it's not limited to race, ask women.

Well....Well......I totally agree......One of the few accurate posts you have ever made.

Congrats Moe. California has burned to the ground and 67 Americans are dead from an air crash because of DEI that you supported. How do you feel about yourself?

How does it feel to look like a fool while promoting MAGA nonsense? are you a bot like 82?

I know that you don’t like facts but here is just one example. https://www.foxbusiness.com/politic...-air-traffic-controller-applicants-basis-race
fascinating allegations.

Fact check: Trump’s FAA used the same language about hiring people with disabilities he’s now blasting

The Trump-era FAA had the same language on its website: The FAA’s language encouraging the hiring of people with disabilities, including intellectual and psychiatric disabilities, was featured on the agency’s website throughout Trump’s first presidency and at least as far back as 2013, as the fact-check website Snopes has previously reported. You can click here for the version of the web page captured by the Internet Archive in December 2020, the last full month of Trump’s first term.

The Trump-era FAA also pushed to hire people with disabilities:
The federal government passed a law in 1973 that aimed to increase federal hiring of qualified people with disabilities. Like other government agencies, the Department of Transportation, which oversees the FAA, had pushed since at least the George W. Bush administration to increase its hiring of people with certain “targeted disabilities” that create extra barriers to employment. Those include not only intellectual and psychiatric disabilities, but also deafness, blindness, paralysis and missing extremities.
