Michigan has had to cancel this week's tilt with Maryland, due to Covid. Hopefully, they won't dodge Ohio State the following week, or that may ultimately knock OSU out of the playoff race, unless the B1G changes their policy of a minimum six games to make the championship game.

It's the B1G's fault though, by starting the season so damn late. Hopefully this isn't some sort of stunt by Michigan's athletic department, but you never know.

Jerk Herbstreit already predicted that Michigan would duck Ohio State. Par for the course in 2020.

Does the selection committee have the power to take the four best teams regardless of whether they are a conference champion or not? I think OSU fits in that category in my honest opinion, I would go all in on the Bucks with A&M in a winner take all matchup!

I think they have the power to choose whomever they want, but make no mistake about it, politics inside the committee room will hold the most weight. Wouldn't shock me to see Clemson, Notre Dame, Alabama, and A&M make the final four. They're already cancelling the 12/12 games in the ACC to provide Clemson and Notre Dame a week off, and I look for the SEC to follow suit, assuming the Gators roll Tennessee this weekend. B1G should have started back on October 3rd, maybe even sooner, and kept their original 10 game slate, which would have allowed for at least one week of makeup games. Truth be told, I'm guessing the liberals that run the B1G are pissed off that they played at all.

Yes, Tony, the CFP would permitted to invite tOSU, anyway, but if Ohio State were to go only 6-0 and not be eligible for the B1G Championship, then I doubt that the Buckeyes would be selected. Idiot Desmond Howard was begging Michigan State to take a powder Saturday, so this traitor undoubtedly is rejoicing about Michigan's situation. If you can't beat 'em, then cheat 'em is the motto for 2020.
