Hated the guy since I was in high school. But I've seen him call several WVU games this year and I have to say I was impressed with the homework he did, his familiarity with the team, the intricacies of our style, WVU basketball background. I think he has a real affinity for us. And, hell, we're one of the reasons he's never going to retire.

Brent has always been a WVU fan, met him once grabbing Hot Dogs at Genes before a game back in the 80s, he always ate there.

I like Brent and Fran they seem to give wvu a fair shake most of the time. It seems they both respect Huggs even though Fran reinforces wvu wins ugly, which isn't entirely correct.

However..he sucks now. He talks about a play after 2 other plays have happened. He is horrible now. Him and Dickie V need to go!

Never understood any wvu fan disliking Musberger. He's always been very complimentary of our teams. Maybe you're not old enough but when he did the WVU-PSU 1988 Game, he was great. So much praise for WV, for Major Harris, WVU and our team. He was calling Major "The Magician".
Thought he was also very complimentary when he did the 2011 LSU-WVU game.

Dickie V da joke. He makes his living ............. trying to live in the past. He wants to be a young gun again so bad. He tries sooooo hard to be cool.

I think Musberger WAS a great commentator..He is WAY PAST his prime. He doesn't even see the plays as they happen.

I prefer my Musberger well done with pickles & onions.
Hold the lettuce please(LOL!)

Speaking of yesteryear, Musberger had the national telecasts for the 1988 Penn State and 1993 Miami games . . . he contributed to the sweet sounds of victory at Mountaineer Field.
