The women’s XC team deserves a nod for their season thus far. Ranked fourth in the nation, WVU finished very well (4th of 33 teams) at the Wisconsin Pre-Nationals, defeating three other top 10 teams and another two in the top 15.
They won the Louisville Classic (1st of 27 teams) and finished second of 16 at Carnegie Mellon earlier this year.
West Virginia also finished second at the Big 12 championships this weekend behind No. 1 BYU. Brigham Young is a machine, in both men’s and women’s, and won at Wisconsin as well.
West Virginia is setup quite well for the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Qualifier on Nov. 15.
