Moore (Okla.) Southmoore 2018 quarterback Casey Thompson received an offer from West Virginia today and it didn't come as a surprise because he actually got a heads up that it was coming from his cousin former Mountaineers wide receiver Jordan Thompson. The younger Thompson already has a total of 14 offers but told me that the West Virginia scholarship has his attention for the obvious family ties as well as the fact he is familiar with the Mountaineers after talking with his cousin as well as watching the offense the past couple years. Thompson told me he has no favorites right now but is looking for a quarterback-friendly offense like the one the Mountaineers use and is already looking into a visit. He is coming off a monster season where he accounted for 52 total touchdowns (32 passing, 20 rushing) and almost 4,000 total yards and has been starting for his team since the second game of his freshman year.
