Delray Beach (Fla.) Atlantic athlete Marquis Waters had been receiving plenty of interest from schools but West Virginia became the first program to offer him a scholarship this past week and he told me that the Mountaineers are definitely high on his list. Waters is being recruited on both sides of the ball depending on the school he is talking with and while he has talked to running backs coach JaJuan Seider he isn't sure where the Mountaineers see him playing. So far he has only visited FAU but is already planning a summer trip to check out West Virginia this summer. Overall getting on the field early is going to be the most important thing he is looking for in a college and he told me distance won't be a factor. West Virginia really surprised him when they offered but he is now hearing from several others such as Louisville.
