West Virginia continues to target athletic options that can move around and play multiple positions and Cincinnati (Oh.) Colerain athlete Deshaunte Jones fits that mold. Jones told me that West Virginia offered him a couple weeks ago and while he plays quarterback in high school is being targeted as a wide receiver or defensive back at the next level. Defensive line coach Bruce Tall is the lead recruiter here and Jones told me that he has stayed in touch with him an he was excited to add the offer in large part because of how big the football program is and the way he could be used in the offense. Jones has offers from schools such as Louisville, Cincinnati and a host of MAC programs and he told me he plans to make visits to check out many of the schools on his list including West Virginia but he is still looking for a date when that will happen. Jones did tell me that he thinks he will likely visit Morgantown this month.
