But in crucial situations he is not. On that last series I think we had the wrong personnel on the field. They weren’t running the ball there so you needed your 3-4 best pass rushers. We did not. We had a spy on the QB for I’m not sure what reason. The defensive backs were not aligned pre snap and I’m not sure why we chose the personnel we did back there on the goal line. There was no sense of urgency among anyone on the field.
Coaching matters because we aren’t good enough to beat anyone, including Houston, on talent alone. I’m not really sure what neal brings to the table as a head coach that many others couldn’t do and they would most likely do better. This program deserves better.
