Earlier in the process West Virginia was the clear favorite for Orlando (Fla.) Oak Ridge safety Cycoby Burch but since then he had claimed that both Wisconsin and North Carolina had risen to the top and even announced a commitment to the Badgers before things fell through due to him not speaking with the coaching staff first. Well since then, Burch still has Wisconsin and North Carolina in his top group but West Virginia is right back in the thick of things and he told me that he has talked with safeties coach Joe DeForest about the program and he is very interested in getting up there for a visit and to learn more. All of his top schools are targeting him at free or strong safety and due to the Mountaineers losing so many in the back end after this season he is interested in stepping into one of those roles.
