Wayne (N.J.) Wayne Hills offensive lineman Leyshawn Askew has a camper that stood out to both Greg and I during the first camp in June and I caught up with him his afternoon to talk a little bit about his recruitment. Right now, he has one offer from Massachusetts but is receiving a lot of interest from West Virginia, Kentucky, Pittsburgh, Temple and several other schools. A defensive lineman by trait, Askew is being recruited by West Virginia to play on the offensive side of the football at tackle and while he doesn't hold an offer he improved his stock by working out in front of the coaches. Askew said he has spoken with coach Brian Mitchell quite a bit and he is currently second down the board to get an offer. Askew has a very interesting story because he didn't start playing football until two years ago and at his size 6-foot-6, 285-pounds, was a welcomed addition to his high school tea. Definitely a name to keep an eye on moving forward.
