The complete schedule is

Home: Cincinnati, Houston, TCU, BYU, Utah, Arizona, Iowa State, Oklahoma State, UCF and Arizona State.
Away: Cincinnati, Houston, TCU, BYU, Utah, Kansas, Baylor, Texas Tech, Kansas State and Colorado.

--West Virginia will have home and home matchups with Cincinnati, Houston, TCU, Utah and BYU which outside Cincinnati is a really interesting collection of teams. It honestly almost seems like the Big 12 decided to pick the most random matchups and decided to go with it. I understand the need to play every team but some of those road trips to Utah and BYU when they could be avoided seems a little unnecessary to me. Overall, this is going to be a challenging set of ten games as Cincinnati will be much improved, Houston is Houston and TCU is solid every year.

---The home only slate has some solid matchups as West Virginia will get to host Arizona and Iowa State, but on the downside some of the projected worst teams in the league will be coming to the Coliseum in Arizona State, Oklahoma State and UCF.

--The road schedule is brutal. West Virginia will have to face Kansas, Baylor, Texas Tech, Kansas State and Colorado on the road and every single one of those teams made the NCAA Tournament last year outside Kansas State and each of them are likely going to be even better this coming season. This is just a tough draw here as some of those destinations are really hard to win at.

--It's always hard to project this stuff this early especially without the layout or the dates yet but with some of the road trips the Mountaineers will face being the longest distance in the league such as Utah, BYU, Texas Tech and Colorado perhaps they can work out a scenario where West Virginia is able to head to the two Utah schools on a short weekend or perhaps even have one of those trips during winter break to cut down on the travel.

--There aren't many easy paths in the Big 12, but on paper this could be a challenging slate.
