WVU Release Mountaineer Baseball Announce Three Time Changes

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (Feb. 4, 2020) – The West Virginia University baseball team has announced time changes to three home games this season.


The Mountaineers’ matchup against Kansas State at Monongalia County Ballpark on Saturday, April 18, has been moved to a 4 p.m. ET start, while the following day’s contest against the Wildcats on Sunday, April 19, will begin at 12 p.m. The two games were originally scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. and 1 p.m., respectively.


Additionally, WVU is set to host Baylor on Sunday, May 3, at 1 p.m. The matchup, which is WVU’s home Big 12 Conference finale, was originally planned to begin at 12 p.m.


Coming off one of the most successful seasons in program history, West Virginia begins the 2020 campaign on Friday, Feb. 14, with a three-game series at Jacksonville at the Dolphins' John Sessions Stadium. The squad's home opener at Monongalia County Ballpark is slated for Feb. 18, against Canisius, with first pitch scheduled for 2 p.m.

What’s crazy is baseball in February in Morgantown I can’t imagine sitting there watching a game in what typically would be 30 degrees.
